Why you need compliance checks

When buying or selling property in the UK, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks are a legal requirement.

These checks are designed to:

    • Confirm your identity
    • Verify the seller owns the property
    • Confirm where funds are coming from, and that they are legitimate.

They help protect you, your agent, and the wider property market from fraud and financial crime.

Without these checks, your transaction simply can’t move forward.
