What would full AML compliance cost you to do it yourself?

Your estimated annual AML costs are based on your number of branches, monthly listings and the proportion of cases requiring enhanced due diligence, using Coadjute's internal cost assumptions. We assume approximately three people are checked per listing, including buyers, sellers and giftors, with costs for ID verification, screening and Land Registry checks included. Staff time covers customer checks, document collection, chasing, enhanced due diligence, re-screening and manual verification. Costs are calculated using an annual salary of £45,000 for a compliance officer and £64,000 for an MLRO, including employer National Insurance and pension contributions, based on 1,590 productive working hours per year. We also include AML software costs, MLRO case reviews, policy and risk assessment preparation, file audits, external specialist advice and annual staff training. These figures are illustrative estimates based on internal assumptions as at October 2026. Actual costs will vary by agency, and the calculation excludes compliance responsibilities that remain with your business.
